DAY 1: SPAIN - ACCRA
International flight from Spain to Kotoka International Airport, Accra, capital of the country. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the local guide who will accompany us to the hotel, where we can rest after the trip. Depending on the time of arrival in the country, we can take a tour of the city to have a first contact with the culture. Night at Brookvale Hotel.

DAY 2: ACCRA

We will dedicate the day to enjoy the capital. The local guide will give us a short introductory talk about the culture of the country, especially focused on this region. We will go to visit a local market and a craft center specialized in wood. We will have a while to rest in the afternoon at the hotel before going out at night to discover the nightlife of this city. Night at Brookvale Hotel.

DAY 3: ACCRA- KUMASSI

We will depart from Accra to Kusmassi, capital of the Ashanti region. This city is also known as "The Garden City", due to the enormous quantity and variety of plants it houses. We will make a stop in towns and markets that we will meet along the way. Night at Georgia Hotel.

DAY 4: KUMASSI

We will learn about the culture of the Ashanti empire, founded in 1670. Osei Kofi Tutu, its emperor, founded Kumassi in 1680 as the capital of the empire. Due to its strategic location in the trans-Saharan trade (they traded with gold and slaves), this city had a very important economic growth, which over time has led to Kumassi being the financial center and political capital of the region. We will visit the historical museum of the Ashanti and a handicraft center. Later we will go to the volcanic lake of Bosumptwi, with about 8 kilometers wide, it is the only natural lake in the country. Night at Georgia Hotel.

DAY 5: KUMASSI - CAPE COAST

We will head back to the coast, specifically to Cape Coast. This city, full of fortifications, is marked by a terrible past. This area was part of the well-known “Slave Coast”, an expression used between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries to refer to what is now the part of the Gulf of Guinea, where millions of people were captured as slaves by African chiefs and sold to English and Dutch settlers to take them as labor to Europe or America. Its coasts have witnessed this human trafficking for years. We will settle in the hotel to leave the suitcases and we will begin the visit of the city. Night at Mighty Victory Hotel.

DAY 6: CAPE COAST - ELMINA - KAKUM - CAPE COAST

We will go to Elmina, where we will visit the largest slave castle on the African coast. Later we will walk through the fish auction market and continue to Kakum, where we will have a picnic lunch. Kakum is a national park where we can see different species of trees used in traditional medicine. We will cross canopés, some aerial bridges made of rope, which allow us to have a panoramic perspective of the place and the animals that live there. It is one of the most important rainforest parks in the region where there are about 200 elephant specimens, as well as a great variety of birds. Night at Mighty Victory Hotel.

DAY 7: CAPE COAST - ACCRA

After breakfast, we will return to the Ghanaian capital. During the tour, we will make a stop to see the Makola market and a local craft center. Night at Brookvale Hotel.

DAY 8: ACCRA - SPAIN
We will dedicate the day to walking around the capital and making the last purchases before catching our flight back to Spain.
