We will visit historic cities full of monumental treasures such as Gondar<\/strong>, the impressive clusters of rock-hewn churches of Lalibela<\/strong>, and trekking in the Simien Mountains N.P.<\/strong>, where we can spot Gelada Baboons, lammergeier and different antelopes. The trip will end in one of the most impressive places on the planet, the Danakil Depression<\/strong> and the Erta Ale Volcano<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On this trip to northern Ethiopia, we will explore the most important and emblematic places of Gondar, as well as the Royal Enclosure, with six castles and several other buildings. In addition, we will visit the Fasilidas pool, which continues to be used today for the Timkat celebration, and the Debre Birhan Selassie church, which houses the most famous ceiling in Ethiopia, decorated in red, blue and gold tones.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On this trip to Ethiopia, we will visit the famous rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. We will visit the northwest group of sacred temples: Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael and Bet Golgotha. After lunch, we will continue with the group of southeastern churches: Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual and Bet Abba Libanos. Finally, we will go to the most famous church of all: Bet Giyorgis, built in honor of Saint George, patron saint of Ethiopia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Simien Mountains National Park<\/h3>\n

During this trip to northern Ethiopia, we will explore the Simien National Park. Known as ‘the roof of Africa’, the Simien National Park presents extraordinary terrain formations. We will carry out a walk, lasting between four and five hours, in which we will be able to observe herds of gelada baboons, bearded vultures and different antelopes.<\/p>\n

Danakil Depression<\/h3>\n

During this trip to Ethiopia, we will visit Dallol, a terrestrial hydrothermal system around a cinder cone volcano in the Danakil Depression, Northeast of the Erta Ale Range in Ethiopia. It is known for its unearthly colors and mineral patterns, and the very acidic fluids that discharge from its hydrothermal springs.
\nThe colorful hydrothermal pools and terraces of Dallol change from white and light green to yellow, orange and red, due to the variable oxidation of inorganic iron.
\nDallol is one of the deepest and hottest places on the Earth. It is 1.20 meters below sea level.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Erta Ale Volcano<\/h3>\n

It is a continuously active basaltic shield volcano in the Afar Region of northeastern Ethiopia. It is situated in the Afar Depression, a barren desert area. Erta Ale is the most active volcano in Ethiopia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
