We will attend the rituals and ceremonies of the Timket
This trip to northern Ethiopia offers the opportunity to experience the colourful Timket festival in the city of Gondar. We will attend the Epiphany procession, during which the high priests of each church carry the Ark of the Covenant to the 16th-century pool to spend the night there. One of the highlights of Timket is the baptism, which we will also attend on this unforgettable trip. According to the Ethiopian calendar, the third day of Timket is the annual Saint Michael's Day, and there is a grand procession.
