Visiting the Nuba tribe in South Kordofan is the dream of many tribal lovers around the world. After a prospective expedition in early 2024, anthropologist and Last Places’ founder Joan Riera was able to reach the Nuba Mountains. Through this tribal trip to the Nuba Mountains, we will discover a world that is still virgin and worth visiting. We will have a base in a small town (basic huts from an NGO), and from there we will explore different Nuba tribal communities to learn about their daily lives and traditions. There will be some hiking (maximum 2 hours), and we will be able to photograph a hidden place from the outside world.
