Itinerary designed to visit 3 of the ecosystems of Bangladesh: the flatlands irrigated by the Brahmaputra, Padma, Meghna Rivers and their tributaries; the Sunderbans and the Chittagong Hills on the border with Tripura and Myanmar and inhabited by several ethnic minorities. The transportation will be a combination of land vehicle with motor boats, and we will also trek to reach some tribal villages.

Dhaka and its surroundings

Visit to the popular neighborhood of Korail, the old British area, railway market, old city, clothing workshops of the great commercial brands of the global era, port and flower market as well as the workshops where rickshaws are decorated.

Sundarbans and river communities

We will discover the landscape and life along one of the largest mangroves in Asia. A town stands out whose fishermen still fish with the help of Ganges otters. The nomadic gypsy community lives in boats and moves along the Ganges and its tributaries trading. Visit of a floating market, where fishermen and peasants come to sell, buy and even barter their products.

Bagerhat Mosque

This religious building features 60 domes and is part of the UNESCO heritage.

Chittagong

Interesting port city where we will visit the largest shipbreaking yard in the subcontinent, the central market and the Chandanpura mosque.

Mongoloid tribes of the Burmese frontier

Mountainous area inhabited by various tribes that mix traditional animism with Christianity. Visit in various villages and tribal markets of different ethnic groups such as the Tripuras, Mizos and Chakmas.

Chimbuk Mountains

Habitat of the Khumi and Mru ethnic groups, the most isolated and traditional tribes of Bangladesh. Visit of some markets and tribal villages with spectacular views of the mountains.
