Trip to Eritrea on 26th Jul. - 3rd Aug. 2023 (9 d. / 7 n.) / TRIP COMPLETED

Although it remains outside the logic of commercial tourism, Eritrea offers an exciting challenge for lovers of unexplored destinations.

For this trip to Eritrea we propose a tour that allows the traveler to discover the most relevant aspects of the country. On the plateau we will have the opportunity to learn about the culture of different ethnic groups such as the Bilen and the rare Nara around Agordat. We will discover the wonderful stylistic diversity of architecture found in Asmara and Dekhemare. We will enjoy styles such as Futurism, Rationalism, Novecento and Art Deco. Although they are completely different from each other, they share an absolute and magnetic charm.

Later we will plunge into the Red Sea, meet the closed Rashaida Arabic nomads and discover the glorious merchant past of Massawa, an Otoman coral city falling apart.

Eritrea remains one of the most fascinating destinations in the Horn of Africa. Its mix of Abyssinian, Arabian and Mediterranean influences makes it a truly evocative place.
