Its traditional social and economic organization has closed in on itself an anachronistic and fantastic country in this global world that tends to bury identities. Yemen is so powerful and alluring that it is worth the risk and excitement of the trip. Mountain tribal groups and nomads still roaming the Arabian desert enrich its iconic image of architectural paradise. Traveling through the mud towns and cities of Yemen means living permanently in a Stendhalian state.
Last Places bets on this unique and unrepeatable destination with its team of local guides who resist against anarchy and despair. We finish off the Yemeni experience by walking through the enchanted forests of centuries-old dragon trees.

Sanaa

The walled and fantastic capital but currently in low hours to be visited since Saudi Arabia bombs it periodically... We will return to Sanaa one day. Insha Allah!

At Last Places we like to delve into the local culture and Sufism is part of the religiosity of the Yemenis. The Aynat and Qaber Nabi Hood sanctuaries stand out, where hundreds of faithful come to connect with the afterlife.
